I am so sad to hear this.  Dick's grandma babysat my sister and me when we were young and I dated Jack in high school.  I was so happy to see Dick and his wife at our reunion and had a few phone calls with him over the years.  Too many of our classmates are leaving us.  crying

My condolences to the Omohundro family. My memories of this gentle classmate are of a fun loving, kind spirited , soft talking soul who also played center on our football team. May his soul Rest In Peace.

long-standing, best memories. we all played sandlot football in my backyard, Dick O, Marco F, others who were at St. John's.  That is where Dick learned how to play like a chanmp, initially.  We all were anticipating a great year from him as a senior lineman with PVHS, at Center, plus at Middle Guard.  Going both ways.  he showed his best abilities ever, in the several practice games during pre-season.  i could not jolt him, in our one-on-one collisions. He held firm.  Then, a broken ankle (leg?) put him out for the season.  a great loss for the team that year; he would have been a stawlwart - and most assuredly would have helped us during the River Dell HS match-up.  I was in his house many times; sometimes for meals; his parents and Jack Jr. always were most gracious.

I am so sorry to hear we have lost another classmate.  I didn't know Dick well, but what I do remember is his quiet, yet friendly, demeanor.  He had a very welcoming smile.  My condolences to his family.
