December 16, 2022 - sold my house in Warrensburg, and moved to an independent living facility in Queensbury, NY. The Glen at Highland Meadows. Nice apartment, overlooking the Adirondack Mountains. No more shoveling, weeding. Have made many new friends, but the old ones are still my favorites. I am the 4th youngest person here, and loving every day.
School Story:

I loved High School, the social part that is. As I look through the year book, I wonder what I did on the photo staff, but what a great bunch. Was that the same group that called ourselves the Literary Group? I think we met across the border. Senior choir, the girls in front of me asked me to just mouth the words, and I haven’t gotten any better. What is the most interesting thing you have done since high school?

Traveling across country in a Volkswagon beetle and sleeping in a two person pup tent back in the 70's and in 1974 moved to the Adirondacks.

After marrying husband #3, Running a B&B and meeting people from every state and many countries. The conversations around the breakfast table were not only interesting, but I have learned more from them than any schooling I ever had.
Politics, religion, science, history, you name it. We have also made wonderful friends. Retired from that in 2012.

Just recently 2/2014 publishing a book on my town's (Warrensburg, NY) history!!! 2023 now updating it, and sold out the first two publications.

When I turned 70, as many of us did in 2017, as many of us did that year, I was inspired to update my genealogy. I have been working on it for several years. Finding new relatives and "shirt tail" relatives has been fun. I've even found Mayflower relatives here at the Glen. Related to three people here so far, but never knew!

Currently 2023 and will be turning 77 in January - Yikes. Still working 1 and 1/2 days a week as Warrensburg Town Historian.

We lived in two different towns, but only 1/4 mile away.  She knew Dayle Schaef who lived in her development, who I knew and that's how I met Pam.  My first visit to her house (her Mom was not home) was to walk into her WHITE living room.  I learned very quickly that you did not walk in, or sit on anything!  So many fun memories!  I am so sorry I didn't get to see her after High School, and only recently saw her on one of our face chats.  Went to my yearbook to see what she wrote - the only capital letter she used was the OK and her signature P

"where do i begin?  It has been a long 4 yrs - all the great times - with dayle and ginni & my hair & reading books in the middle of the nite & all the many, many fites - but we came out OK!  lots of love & much much luck P~~~ "i gotta grow-up"

My husband died on 12/19/2020. We were married 32 wonderful years. He got up the morning of 12/11, went for a hike, came home for breakfast, we had lunch and dinner, and after dinner he complained of chest pains. Eight days later, not being able to visit due to Covid, he was operated on for a tear in his aorta, made it through the operation, but died on the way to his room. Has been tough, getting by day by day. Friends have been wonderful, just recently connected with a few classmates, which has been fun and great memories.
